Story
As many of you know, my beautiful mother was diagnosed with Stage Four Pancreatic Cancer in November 2017 and died on August 20th, 2018. I cared for my mother over those 9 months and I have been affected greatly by this silent cancer. Some days it is hard to know what to do to make yourself feel better, which is why it helps to have a goal! So, on Sunday 26 May 2019 I’ll be taking up the challenge in Pancare’s Sydney Walk for Hope and I need your support! I want to put a big team together and make some noise. Please join team "Hey Jude" and we can extend our fundraising network together!
This year, over 3,364 people will be diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. Out of all the major cancers, pancreatic cancer has one of the lowest survival rates with only an 8.7% chance of surviving at least 5 years. This must change – and with your support it can.
All donations will go towards Pancare Foundation’s patient support programs and funding into vital research in the fight against pancreatic, liver, biliary and foregut cancers.
